PERSONALITY TRAITS: Twirpty is a spunky, playful little girl. She is very food driven and she has not missed an opportunity to grab a treat when they’re available. She enjoys leash walks, and consistently uses the doggie door with her foster siblings to go outside and play in a fenced backyard. She is blind in her right eye, and partially blind in the left due to cataracts, but that doesn’t slow her down from playing at all.
LIKES: Very active older dog, loves to go on walks. When at home, she likes to play ball (fetch) and chew, and play with squeaky/crinkle toys. Burrows in blankets during wind down time, and loves to snuggle with her humans
DISLIKES: She doesn’t like to be ignored, and she prefers to be left alone by her foster siblings when playing with her toys .
POTTY TRAINING STATUS: With access to the doggie door, there has been no accidents in the house.
CRATE TRAINING STATUS: She sleeps in her bed all night, likes to have plenty of blankets to snuggle in. She doesn’t mind being left in her bed at all. Unknown how she’d do sleeping in a crate.
EXTRAS/MISC. She would be happy in a home being the only dog, or with another dog to help guide her with her being blind. She definitely needs a secure backyard, if she gets out she tends to get confused and runs away. Although she’s a bit older and has some blindness, she has a lot of life left to give snuggles, go on walks, and play with balls/toys. Unknown how she interacts with small children.
