PENNY
Rottweiler/Chihuahua (no, we're not kidding)
9.5 months, female, 28.5 lbs - and probably not getting much bigger
PERSONALITY: Penny is a ride-or-die kind of friend, always up for an adventure if it means she can be with you. Oh, you're just brushing your teeth, washing dishes, or watching a movie? Well, she'll sit with you for that too.
LIKES: Toys, mealtimes, playing with other dogs, getting attention, walks.
DISLIKES: Being alone. Penny found herself full of anxiety in her former home, as she was spending too much time without people or doggie friends. Penny needs exercise, companionship, and the company her people to help her feel safe and happy. She has been doing much better in her foster home with a consistent schedule and opportunities for interaction & mental stimulation.
POTTY TRAINING: Penny is doing great with a regular outing schedule. She also will potty on leash during her daily walks.
CRATE TRAINING: She sleeps in a crate in her foster home.
OTHER/MISC: Penny would love to live with someone who works from home or is a stay at home parent. We also believe she would benefit from a simliar-sized doggy friend at home, or regular playdates with pals. She is a true pack animal, and she relies on the safety and comfort of other living beings around her. Penny would benefit from attending a puppy class, and we're dedicated to making that happen by refunding part of her adoption fee to help cover the classes.

Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how PENNY will mesh with your lifestyle. Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet.
Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family.
We look forward to facilitating a positive and solid adoption for PENNY, as well as her future family.
