NAME: 🐑 KINLEY 🐑

BREED: Maltese/Poodle blend (Malti-Poo)

AGE: 2 years

WEIGHT: 17 pounds

LIKES: Being with his person, a lap to snuggle on, chews/bones, playing, going for walks/hikes. Gets along well with submissive dogs. Kinley adores the older kids in his foster home.

DISLIKES: Kinley can be a little nervous in new environments, and does have anxiety with transitions to new homes/places. He does NOT like alpha type dogs, fast movements, and being grabbed from above. Due to this, children younger than 10 are not recommended.  

PERSONALITY TRAITS: Kinley is a happy, bouncy, full of energy younger pup. He loves to follow around his human, wanting nothing more than to play and cuddle them! He can be reactive if nervous, so it is important he is adopted  into a household that understands dog behavior and can commit to obedience training. (He’s already shown much improvement in his foster home, with consistent training!) He would love a fellow submissive pup in the house. Kinley is still a young dog and displays behaviors like jumping up excitedly, begging, and mouthiness. Enrollment in dog obedience will go a long way toward building his confidence and manners.

POTTY TRAINING STATUS: This is a work in progress. Kinley wears a belly band, as he was recently neutered, to reduce any attempts at marking, which has improved greatly. Time, patience, and a consistent potty schedule will help get him across the finish line.

CRATE TRAINING STATUS:

Kinsley tolerates short 3-4 hour stints in a crate during the day, when foster family leaves, and generally remains quiet after a minute or two. He sleeps in a crate through the night, but prefers the crate to be in the same room as his humans.

Kinley is a great dog, and we know he will make a fantastic companion. He may have some rough edges but those will smooth out with a commitment to his training and a stable home. Just look at that sweet face! He’s adorable!

Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet.

Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family.
