Personality: Sweet, goofy, smart, loving, playful, active

Likes: Running, playing outside, digging holes, finding sticks to chew on, wrestling and playing with the dogs in her foster home, all the toys and bones!, food/treats!, cuddling, nesting under blankets

Dislikes: Being separated from her people

Potty Training: Work in progress. LUNA does well with a schedule.

Kennel Training: LUNA will whine/howl/bark for a little bit before settling down. She will let you know when ready to come out in the morning. If she sleeps in bed with you, she buries herself under the blankets and sleeps all night.

Other/Misc: This sweet pup loves to be where the action is.  LUNA likes to see what you're doing and be close by. She doesn't like to be alone and would do best in a home where she can be with her people often. She is a high energy pup who will need daily walks and mental stimulation to keep her entertained (Pointer genes!). She's vocal and will howl and "talk" to you. She looooves to play with the other dogs in the house. She would do best in a home with another medium-large breed dog to play with. LUNA seeks out the other dogs in her foster home and enjoys running, wrestling and playing chase. Her long legs and stamina would make her be a fantastic running dog or hiking buddy! Did we mention those legs? She is sporty and can easily clear a 3-4 ft fence, so a 6 foot wooden fenced yard is a must. She loves to chase and has a strong prey drive, so she is not recommended for a home with cats, small animals or small dogs and her excitability. If it runs, she will chase.  LUNA loves people and kids and she jumps when she's excited or happy (working on it!) but jumping/exuberance is common with the breed (GSP). For this reason, she needs to go to a home with older children/teens. She is smart and very food motivated and with training she will turn into a great companion.  This sweet pup LOVES to cuddle when she's tuckered out and will bury herself under every blanket in bed next to you or lay on top of you on the couch.

Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family.
