A little bit about us.

Wiggly Tails Dog Rescue is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) dog rescue in Eugene, Oregon. We are volunteer-driven and foster-based. We rescue dogs from high-kill shelters in California and accept local owner-surrendered dogs. Our focus is on small dogs and puppies. Each dog we rescue is evaluated, provided with needed veterinary care (including spay/neuter and vaccinations), and placed in a foster home. We hold adoption events several times a month to find forever homes for the dogs. Our model is foster-to-adopt, so we can ensure that each dog ends up in the right home.

Success Stories

Cute chihuahua licking it's female owners face

I wasn’t expecting to adopt a chihuahua, but when I first spotted Barney at a Wiggly Tails adoption event, I knew my spouse and I had to meet him. Our older dog, Gizmo, and Barney were pals from the start, which was great. But even more terrific is what a wonderful pal Barney has been for me. Not much makes me happier than having my little buddy by my side during Zoom meetings or on my lap when I kick my feet up in the evening, making me laugh when he drags around a stuffed toy that’s at least as big as him.

Cute terrier mix on sleeping on its back

We've adopted all of our dogs through rescues, but this is the first time we adopted a puppy, Casper, an adorable Chi mix. It has been quite a ride, but well worth it as we watch him grow and blossom from a tiny puppy to an awesome adult dog. Thank you Wiggly Tails for bringing Casper into our lives!

Fritz the dog sleeping on a chair

Fritz is such a wonderful addition to our family. He has blossomed so much in the 11 months we have had him...He is sweet, he is calm and charms everyone he meets. He is healthy you wouldn't believe how thick and healthy his skin and fur are. He is funny when he wants to go outside he likes to get in my face and tries to talk. He is a joy. Please know that all the work you put into your foster dogs is worth it. Each one is a present waiting to be opened and loved. Thank you to our foster and Wiggly Tails for letting us have Fritz to love."
